Dan Rathers Take down by the Bloggers

Here is the text from my article I ran the basic spell & Grammar on it,
it might need to be shortened:

Dan Rather 3-9-05 the 61st minute

John H. Hinderaker and Scott W. Johnson of “Power Line” - Time
magazine's “Blog of the Year” - discuss their role in
exposing the fraudulent “60 Minutes II” report last September regarding
President Bush's Air National Guard service.
Sponsored by the Center For the American Experiment and emceed by Mitch Pearlstein, the group's president, the event featured  speakers John H. Hinderaker and Scott W. Johnson of the weblog Power Line (www.powerlineblog.com)

The evening began with a viewing of the televised CBS newscast with Dan Rather - it would be Rather's final broadcast as anchor of the news program. In addition to the regular news, there were touching stories describing Rather's prior broadcasts and news coverage and included this statement by the retiring anchor: “Not long after I first came to the anchor chair I briefly signed off
using the word 'courage.' I want to return to it now, in a different
way, to a nation still nursing a broken heart for what happened here in
2001, and especially those who found themselves closest to the events
of Sept. 11,” he said.

Equal Time for Conservative Candidates

Dear Ms. Tumulty:

I was disappointed to see that a number of prominent Republican candidates were excluded from your graphic “Your Guide to a Crowded Field:Time’s Election Index” in a recent Time magazine article about the 2008 presidential race. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas, for instance, had indicated his likely entry into the race for the GOP nomination. In 1999, Ron Paul made Congressional Quarterly’s CQ50, the publication’s list of 50 most effective members of Congress. In his 1996 race, Paul was ranked 3rd among Republican House members in donations from individual contributors. Rep. Tom Tancredo has also announced. This Colorado Congressman is a national leader on the issue of securing America’s borders and stopping illegal immigration and has made headlines for bold statements in defense of American culture. Thirdly, presidential candidate Rep. Duncan Hunter of California is apparently in favor already with some big gun Republican financiers including South Carolina textile magnate Roger Milliken. Don’t these facts at least entitle Paul, Tancredo, and Hunter to a picture on your site?

If the ultimate likelihood of the candidate’s success is the criterion for inclusion in Time’s Election Index, why were Gov. Pataki and Senator Hagel included? Recent rumblings indicate pro-choice former NY governor Pataki is so unconfident of his potential he’s unlikely to even run. Staunchly antiwar Republican Senator Chuck Hagel hovers between an asterisk and 2% in recent polls, frequently behind some of the other less well known candidates listed above.

I hope that Time will promptly add Paul, Tancredo, Hunter, and even others like Sen. Sam Brownback to its Election Tracking Index. Otherwise I’ll have no choice but to conclude that Time’s reporting on P2008 is yet another attempt by the major media to show partiality towards liberals and marginalize conservatives.

Sincerely,

How's 'President Savage' sound to GOP?

This is a pretty amazing developement for the P2008 race. There are already some solid conservatives in the race but none that would have the same level of star power as Savage. Some have suggested recently that there could be a real political revolution in this country fueled by low cost internet based communications. Could this be the vehicle? Time will tell....

Michael Savage, the radio talk-show host whose books at Shop.WND.com include "The Enemy Within" and "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder: Savage Solutions," says he may leave the airwaves to make a bid for the presidency.

"I would think that somebody who's not a politician might be a viable candidate," Savage said. "I know it sounds bizarre but when you consider the people running for the presidency, none … [appear] qualified," he said in an online interview.

Savage, whose first books were published by WND, is now the nation's third-most popular talk-show host on radio.

Washington DC Politics

by Bob Nesbit

Gary Benoit, editor for The New American bi-weekly news magazine, recently stated, "The American people did not vote the rascals out of office on election day so much as they shifted power to another group of rascals. That's happened in the past, such as during the Republican Revolution of 1994 and it will continue to happen--until the American people insist that their elected officials abide by the Constitution, regardless of party label."

Nancy Pelosi, new Democratic Speaker of the House of Representatives, is telling us how her party is going to focus on ethics and clean things up in Washington . If you believe that I have some prime real estate I'll sell you down in the Florida Everglades.

Legislative items the Democratic Congress will be pushing include re-instating the military draft, raising the minimum wage, universal national healthcare, President Bush's guest worker (read: amnesty) program for illegal aliens, same-sex marriage, expanded abortion rights, mostly unconstitutional and ungodly legislation.

Who will elect our president????

Recently sent the following to Sean Hannity. Already we are hearing the repitition of candidates' names to the point that they become household words, if you listen to Hannity again today he continues to mention Giuliane and make excuse his lack of conservative beliefs and here we go again creating a "winning candidate. " I think we can change the party/media anointed candidate if we will.
I'd think if people call in on any subject being talked about and when discussing bring in Ron Paul's name and what he believes on the given topic, things could change. As long as the loud mouths of keep repeating their choice it fullfills their phophecy that others are "not known well enough." We have to MAKE them known! Ron Paul seems the only one concerned with returning to Constitutional Government, back to States Rights.
We hear so often the definition of lunacy as doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. We have this marvelous tool called communication here that NO ONE else controls - let's set out a new course!

Sean Hannity;

We all saw what happened in November when Republicans, tired of voting for the not-so-bads, decided not to vote for candidates we were told could “win”.

Sean, you could do soooooo much to promote a true conservative agenda if only you would. I do not know of one conservative who appreciates your show though many are avid Talk-show listeners. Your “Shoot-outs” are nothing more than pretense when you refuse to discuss but cut-off, shout-over and pound questions to divert what your guests want to say. The “Hate Hannity Line” is about as phony as Climate Change being fixable, if the line is for real the voices are repeaters and your braggingly playing this display of trash surely does nothing to impress a thinking audience. Your condescending exaggerated articulation when talking down to Liberals is not being nice and compassionate but rather bullying and childish, telling the listeners otherwise convinces few if any – how one says things is as important as what one says.

Lately a number of people have called requesting you have Rep.Ron Paul on your show instead of the media driven, appointed candidates. Every time I’ve heard this suggestion you panic with a defensive; “He’s Libertarian!” as if that is a negative. Republican Representative Ron Paul of Texas has Libertarian persuasions true, and was a Libertarian candidate for President at one time, he is the one candidate fully in support of; Freedom, Liberty, smaller government etc. A true Conservative I can’t help wondering why he threatens you so. Why are you afraid of one who truly supports what you give mouth to? Actions (yours and his) speak louder than words.
You have three hours a day, prime listening time and a microphone to affect a change if only you would! The childish giggling and name calling so prevalent in your daily rant does nothing to promote Conservatism but diminishes the sincerity of your message. When you have to tell us you are honest, sensitive, conservative etc. that you are, there is a problem. Inviting a Libertarian author does not appease – believers won’t fall for that!

God Bless you!

Katie Couric's Notebook: (Osama) Obama's Background

I don't know if I totally agree with Katies spin here, as I heard obama studied for 2 years in a Madrass in his teens  then moved to hawaii and became a catholic, supposedly, huh? From Katie Couric See B.S. news  Posted by Greg Kandra

Is America ready to elect a President whose connections with Islam were the subject of rumor and innuendo & the new world order?

Barack Obama has arguably the most diverse religious background of any candidate, ever. He was raised in Indonesia by a Christian mother and Muslim stepfather, and attended a Catholic school, but while growing up, also studied Islam. That background sparked rumors that he had studied in a radical madrasa, or Koranic school – rumors later disproved . Obama is now a practicing Christian.

Buchanan likes Paul, Tancredo, and Hunter

Just minutes before the beginning of the first Republican debate of the 2007/2008 season, Keith Obermann of MSNBC asked Pat Buchanan, also an MSNBC political analyst, which candidate most closely represents his brand of conservatism. Buchanan's reply was "I think Ron Paul." The three time Presidential candidate went on to praise Tancredo and Hunter on immigration. He also said Hunter did a good job of looking out for the welfare of the American worker first on trade issues. Ron Paul I would guess fared well on Buchanan's list because he has opposed the war in Iraq since the beginning unlike most of the others.

Text R9 for Tancredo!

In tonight's Fox News Republican debate, Tom Tancredo stood out as the across-the-board conservative candidate.  Just about every other candidate seemed to take a hit to their credentials on one issue or another.  Rep Tancredo distinguished himself by highlighting his opposition to No Child Left Behind and the $400 billion to $1 trillion priced Medicare prescription drug benefit.  He alone among the candidates stood up to the phony establishment "science" on the global warming "threat".  His established his ability to be Commander-in-Chief with an articulate answer on defending our country in a crisis situation.  Tancredo welcomed conversions on the Road to Damascus but was suspicious of those experienced on the Road to Des Moines.

Assess Tom's performance and that of the other candidates yourself by watching the archived debate at http://www.foxnews.com/politics/index.html .

At this hour, until 11:30PM Central, May 15th, Fox News is conducting a text message poll about who won the debate.  Text "R9" for Tom Tancredo to 36988 to cast your vote for Tom!  Directions are on the Fox News site at this address:

North American union plan headed to Congress in fallPowerful think tank prepares report on benefits of integration between U.S., Mexico, Canada

new World Disorder! Wake up next year and find we are part of another governing body! from WND.com
Sppintegration between U.S., Mexico, Canada All of this is described in a CSIS report, “North American Future 2025 Project.”

WASHINGTON – A powerful think tank chaired by former Sen. Sam Nunn and guided by trustees including Richard Armitage, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Harold Brown, William Cohen and Henry Kissinger, is in the final stages of preparing a report to the White House and U.S. Congress on the benefits of integrating the U.S., Mexico and Canada into one political, economic and security bloc.
The final report, published in English, Spanish and French, is scheduled for submission to all three governments by Sept. 30, according to the Center for Strategic & International Studies.
CSIS boasts of playing a large role in the passage of the North American Free Trade Agreement in 1994 – a treaty that set in motion a political movement many believe resembles the early stages of the European Community on its way to becoming the European Union.
“The results of the study will enable policymakers to make sound, strategic, long-range policy decisions about North America, with an emphasis on regional integration,” explains Armand B. Peschard-Sverdrup, director of CSIS' Mexico Project. “Specifically, the project will focus on a detailed examination of future scenarios, which are based on current trends, and involve six areas of critical importance to the trilateral relationship: labor mobility, energy, the environment, security, competitiveness and border infrastructure and logistics.”
The data collected for the report is based on seven secret roundtable sessions involving between 21 and 45 people and conducted by CSIS. The participants are politicians, business people, labor leaders and academics from all three countries with equal representation.

Bush grants presidency extraordinary powers without congressional oversight, wheres the media on this?

from WND.com by Jerome Coris

Why would this be done without intent to use it? the president can assume the power to direct any and all government and business activities until the emergency is declared over. This is SO UNCONSTITUTIONAL! AND WE SHOULD SAY NO RIGHT NOW! BULL PUCKY! Sounds a little contrived if were hit again and this kicks in I told you so as I get sent to the "gulag" I guess? President Bush has signed a directive granting extraordinary powers to the office of the president in the event of a declared national emergency, apparently without congressional approval or oversight.
It was issued with the dual designation of NSPD-51, as a National Security Presidential Directive, and HSPD-20, as a Homeland Security Presidential Directive. The directive establishes under the office of the president a new national continuity coordinator whose job is to make plans for "National Essential Functions" of all federal, state, local, territorial and tribal governments, as well as private sector organizations to continue functioning under the president's directives in the event of a national emergency.

May 28, 2007

Memorial Day May 28, 2007 Events are planned but one is ironic I think.

Here is the Irony we are honoring past & present vets who are currently  fighting Muslim's, the guest speaker is a Muslim, Muslim's can't eat pork, yet they are having a Pig roast. I sure hope Mr. Ellison eats up with all the vets who show up and doesn't insult them, the war, or Minnesotans. At least other events aren't as sad.
