The YellowBook of Texas...

Today on Sunday I was working on new siding on my house with my friend Bob who was finishing up with me and your not going to believe this. I was with my son outside chatting with Bob about work and immigration issues. My garage was wide open and my car in the driveway.

Then out of the Blue a beleaguered looking, hunched over sweaty, hispanic male dressed in blue jeans and a grey T-shirt who looked lost and out of breath came walking into my front yard carrying a torn clear plastic bag and a large yellow book. Myself and Bob were like whats going on, I was thinking this was a bit odd on sunday. The person had no identification no shirt with his name on it or any kind of company markings. I didn't know if he was on drugs, scoping the area out, a solicitor someone lost, or what. Bob mentioned usually you see caucausions or at least local plates and identification and this happens on the weekdays not Sunday I agreed.

So then I just let him go forward as he walked right into my yard without saying a word went up my driveway and then flashed me the single yellow book he was carrying, it was a "yellow phonebook". I'm certain he looked into my garage and saw all my tools and other things in there. I said you are delivering me the phone book on Sunday why is the bag already opened he just shrugged his shoulders and pointed at me a few feet away and said "here". I asked if there were white pages to go along with this, ( I didn't realize at that point it was just the business addition) he just said "Yell-ow-book". I asked again why was it opened and where the white pages, he just placed it top of my trash can kind of smiled nervously and said "jus yell-ow-book". Ok I said do you understand me? He replied ," I no english". I pointed and said where did you come from with the "yellow book" he pointed to a van on the street. I said "they understand English" he said "si yahs". He scurried away at this point towards the van I walked down to it. I noticed it was a white van with Texas Plates in Minnesota, looked rather tattered and warn, with the company sign of "telephone directory ind(the rest wasn't clear" with a logo like 4 intertwined globes.

Hooray! MN DOT finally raised the speed limit to 60mph

Speed limit raised from MN DOT's site
Mn/DOT and Public Safety announce new speed management program
The HEAT is on, some speed limits to rise

St. Paul, Minnesota – “The HEAT is on” officials from the Minnesota Departments of Transportation and Public Safety announced today. HEAT (highway enforcement of aggressive traffic) is a new statewide speed management program designed to better control speeding, increase safety on state roadways and remind drivers that the posted speed limit is the speed limit.

HEAT is supported by $2.5 million in federal funding for speed limit enforcement on state roadways for one year — translating into nearly 1,400 hours per week of additional enforcement across the state.

Additionally, the speed limit on 930 miles of state highways will increase from 55 mph to 60 mph.

“The program’s goal is to make Minnesota’s roadways safer,” said Lt. Gov. Carol Molnau, commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Transportation. “The funding means law enforcement will have more resources to rein in drivers who speed. We want to remind motorists that the posted speed limit is the speed limit and that the HEAT is on.

Engineering shows that the 5 mph speed limit increase on these specific highways will foster consistent speeds and help motorists operate more safely.”

MFC: Commentary by Tom Prichard - September 30, 2005

Minnesota Family Council www mfc.org
The special session people (except a few) don't want
This week Governor Pawlenty laid out the reasons he would support a special session. He gave a list of 11 issues for legislative leaders to consider and asked for their prior approval of an agenda and the process before he'd call a special session. My guess is a majority of legislators are not too excited about a session. Traditionally special sessions were called to deal with critical, time sensitive issues. The centerpiece of the current proposal is efforts to build three new sport's stadiums.

I don't think it would be wise to have a special session given the negative reaction to the special session in July when the state government went into partial shutdown and there was a lack of an urgent need for one. Conservatives are nervous because they simply see it as a time for more government spending.

The Vikings Schlongboat? or the great stadium debate...

The MN vikings while asking for the public to pony up $$$ millions for new stadiums, while the players show how low they can go while there record is 3 loss 1 win (which was against the beleaguered New Orleans saints), some of the players "scored" on a sex cruise facing at least 17 Minnesota Vikings, The enemy paper reports, "photographs were taken of sex acts that occurred during parties staged by Minnesota Vikings football players on two charter boats in Lake Minnetonka. Allegedly the team mascot 'RAGNAR' still has faith. Vikings Coach Mike Tice
Two hours after the Mound police received the call, another woman called to complain that six or seven men pulled up in a shuttle bus limo and urinated in her yard, police reports said. The MN Vikings website states:
"The Vikings expect to develop and bring forward project details, including related real estate development and a public-private financing formula, to the 2006 legislative session where debate will occur on the Vikings/Anoka County stadium.
... It is a first class landmark for the state and community of which all Minnesotans can be proud."

This might be a hard sell for the vikings after this, in a year of record spending, while on the heels of the MN Twins & MN Gopher's stadium requests as well.

Polio Outbreak allegedly from unscreened hospital workers?

A 7 month old baby was infected with a 2 YEAR OLD POLIO VIRUS, the Amish baby was ALREADY in the hospital for other reasons, had respiratory problems and had a weakened immune system. Then was exposed to someone who was already infected, allegedly at the hospital in their care my source stated. This includes, nurses from Africa who were allegedly not screened for polio were working with the baby BEFORE THE BABY WAS INFECTED! It is culturally insensitive to check for this sort of thing as you might offend someone. Baby-Face.jpg

I found it very interesting that the articles I looked up tried to “SPIN” it to appear since the AMISH avoid vaccines or hospitals in general this is WHY the child was infected, and it was their fault since they chose to avoid the vaccine. Being a parent who doesn’t believe in using Thimerosal (read more at unlockingautism.org) I’m concerned that they might create trumped up charges on people like me! After being forced to sign a waiver stating that I would be responsible and cause my child’s death if I refuse the vaccine.

The Washington Post article quoted Harry Hull, the state epidemiologist "The polio strain found in Minnesota's Amish community appears to be a mutated version of a live polio vaccine still used in some countries, Hull said. State and federal health officials were still investigating how the child became infected. Stool or saliva from an infected person can transmit the virus."

The media mainstream media once again is deceiving the public and doing a TOTAL DIS-SERVICE to everyone on this. They left out these facts which was given to me by a doctor I know who works in that hospital the Amish Child was treated at.

Policing Minnesota's immigration laws

Policing Minnesota's immigration laws
Jean Hopfensperger, Star Tribune, December 14, 2005

Police in Minneapolis and St. Paul would have the authority to question people at random about their immigration status under proposed legislation that would throw out the two cities' ordinances against the practice.

Rep. Jim Knoblach, R-St. Cloud, said Tuesday he would introduce legislation next session that would try to prevent cities from enacting ordinances that limit the role of police in enforcing immigration laws.

"Especially in this time of war, we should not be discouraging law enforcement from enforcing the law," Knoblach said.

Dave Racer on "Merry Christmas"

Merry Christmas:
Pagan roots argument/discussion. My wife handed me a fistful of material about this just several weeks ago.

When someone…me, for instance…wishes you a Merry Christmas, my heart expresses sheer joy at the birth of my Savior. It does not express Christ Mass (the death of Christ). Perhaps it did in the 4th Century when Constantine’s politics drove much of the organization of the Roman Catholic Church. But not to this born again man. Never has meant that, and it is not what I express from my heart.

Pawlenty Creating Immigration Enforcement Team (about Time!)

The governor Finnally came out to address this heinous and deadly crime that threatens all of us, while promoting the benefits of legal immigration. other websites have covered this like Article
and the ones with the "mental disorders" like DFLr's blog
as expected declare "Pawlenty's biased report on illegal immigrants By MN Politics Guru  "is how the report overstates the cost of state services for these illegal immigrants, while completely ignoring the revenue they bring in... When you add up all the real costs to the state, you get $91 million to $96 million a year, countered by maybe $80 million a year in revenues. Does that suddenly seem like a big problem? Not to me.
... If we are going to have a debate on immigration, let's make it realistic and based on facts."
"This is a made-up issue," said DFL Party Chairman Brian Melendez. -image mnGOP
Declaring that illegal immigration is undermining the entire legal system, Gov. Tim Pawlenty proposed a sweeping array of state responses on Tuesday, including a Minnesota enforcement team, more screening by local authorities and increased penalties for false identification, human trafficking and hiring of illegals.
. - MPLS Star Tribune original Article

Even the SFGate states "...Many voters nationwide consider child education a top priority. Even though numerous schools are burdened with high immigrant enrollments, Democrats in Congress have championed higher immigration in spite of the fact that, according to the California Department of Education, one in four children in the state's schools do not know English well enough to follow instructions in the classroom.
The liberals' "solution" to school overcrowding is to climb on the treadmill of passing bonds totaling tens of billions of dollars in the past decade to hire more teachers and build more classrooms, with no end in sight. "

St. Paul, MN. - As illegal aliens and their supporters demonstrate in the streets, and the Judiciary Committee forwards to the Senate floor a bill that undermines the rule of law by offering amnesty to illegal aliens, the Constitution Party of Minnesota (CPMN) denounces both actions. The CPMN calls upon the US Senate to pass serious immigration reform legislation as the House did in passing HR 4437, rejecting any amnesty proposals, and to refrain from consideration of any sort of guest worker program until our nation's borders have been secured.

CPMN chairman John Robillard stated "any further talk of reform is absurd until it has been demonstrated that we are able to manage our borders. Entire school districts in California have closed down for fear of violence just at the mention of beefing up border enforcement, and Washington is talking about naturalizing those who are causing concerns for our personal safety. This is illustrative of the complete failure of those currently in power to protect us from invasion, something the Constitution specifically tasks them with, and it should cause great unease about the future safety of our children's generation if something doesn't change soon."

The Constitution Party has been a long-time advocate of immigration reform. Respecting the fact that America is largely an immigrant nation, and the fact that most who come here are typically hard working family people, it is also true, as plain common sense tells us, that there are limits to the numbers of immigrants that can be absorbed over a given time. But even rationally discussing what sort of rate can be supported becomes a moot point once it is apparent that we have lost the ability to regulate the numbers. We can only afford to consider other reform proposals once we know we can adequately regulate border crossings.

MPR - Number of new HIV/AIDS cases in state holds steady

Although gay or bisexual men represent 5 percent of the state's population, the department says they account for about 60 percent of the state's HIV/AIDS

MPR Report: Number of new HIV/AIDS cases in state holds steady
(AP) - The Minnesota Health Department says the number of new cases of HIV/AIDS held nearly steady at about 300 from 2004 to 2005.
There were 304 new cases diagnosed in 2005, nearly identical to the 307 cases diagnosed in 2004. Health officials said they have seen about 300 new cases annually each year for the past 10 years.

Although gay or bisexual men represent 5 percent of the state's population, the department says they account for about 60 percent of the state's HIV/AIDS cases. The department also says African immigrant, American black and Latino populations continue to have higher infection rates than whites. But the report shows a drop in infection rates among intravenous drug users with only three new cases in 2005.

A new Minnesota Public Radio - St. Paul Pioneer Press poll says a majority of Minnesotans are opposed to legalizing gay marriage. But the poll also shows Minnesotans are split on whether they want to amend the constitution to ban gay marriage. The issue of gay marriage will be a hot-button issue at the Legislature this session after the Massachusetts Supreme Court ruled last year that gays have a right to marry. The same court said on Wednesday that civil unions fall short of granting gay couples their rights under the Massachusetts constitution. - MPR
