We are engaged in the hottest political debate of our time; that is, whether marriage should be redefined to include same-sex couples or other alternatives.

Everything from morality, legal benefits, the impact on children, public schools, government and private businesses have been discussed in the media. Incredibly, almost no attention has been focused on the very real threats to our civil and religious liberties.

Specifically, the 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status given to thousands of churches, nursing homes, schools, ministries, universities and radio stations may be at risk if an organization "discriminates" against a legally protected status, such as same-sex marriage.

What does this mean? If gay marriage is legalized, then any church or religious organization that doesn't agree with same-sex marriage will likely come under intense pressure to either change their views or go silent. Tax-exempt status for faith-based organizations that fail to agree with same-sex marriage will be at risk.

Cindy Sheehan isn't just a thorn in the side of the White House. Now, she's threatening Hillary Clinton--and the moonbats are eating it up. Via the NYSun:

War protester Cindy Sheehan came to New York last night with a blunt warning for Senator Clinton: End your support for the war in Iraq or else.

Visiting New York City for the first time since leaving her campsite outside President Bush's vacation ranch in Crawford, Texas, Ms. Sheehan told a packed audience in a Brooklyn church that Mrs. Clinton "knows the war is a lie" but because of her political ambitions refuses to voice any opposition.

Mrs. Clinton is "waiting for the best political moment to say" she opposes the war, Ms. Sheehan said during a 15-minute speech. "You say it or you're losing your job," she said, provoking a roar of approval from the audience. Mrs. Clinton, believed to be a possible presidential contender in 2008, has said she supports the war in Iraq and has pushed for a greater troop presence in the country.

In an interview after her speech, Ms. Sheehan said she has requested a meeting with Mrs. Clinton but has not gotten a reply. Mrs. Clinton's office was not immediately available for comment last night.

Not good for Hill's moderation maneuvers.

Cindy Sheehan the mother of the son who sadly died but enlisted by his own choice in the US military. She got the priveledge more then most mothers to have met the president. Then for some unknown reason she turned on her family and snapped. I understand she doesn't realize she's being taken advantage of by the communists and social vagabonds who often protest America, hygene and soap as much as the war. Allow me to Istate my nephew and cousin are both currently enlisted and I honor them as well as Cindee's son and am proud they are or have served their country regardles of my or anyone's stance on the war.

This is foolish civil disobedience with a crowd of several thousand known rabble rousers outside the Whitehouse while disobeying securities multiple pleas to keep the distance will get you arrested.
Police warned them three times that they were breaking the law by failing to move along, then began making arrests. One man climbed over the White House fence and was quickly subdued by Secret Service agents. This isn't bravery its just dumb. Its kind of like swearing at a traffic cop when he/she pulls you over instead of trying to fight a ticket in court, the arena where it belongs.

There have been a lot of books and websites devoted to the connection of the tragedy of 9/11 and Biblical prophecy. But none that I have seen talk about Revelation 10.

The imagery in Revelation 10 seems eerily close to the images of 9/11. The chapter starts out with a rather good description of the Statue of Liberty, as a mighty angel robed in a cloud with a rainbow over its head. It says that it's face was like the sun. The original greek was "Helios" which can also mean "the rays of the sun", like the spikes of the Statue of Liberty's head. It mentions an open scroll in its hand, like the Statue of Liberty. The chapter also says that the angel was on the land and on the sea, like the Statue of Liberty.

But the reference that it's "legs were like fiery pillars" is the verse that peaked my curiosity enough to make a movie on the subject. David Parker, who faced criminal prosecution by the town of Lexington, spent a night in jail in April and was charged with criminal trespassing after refusing to leave a scheduled meeting with officials at the Estabrook Elementary School.
