Debbie Schlussel: Merry Christmas, Aztlan! From Sears (Or is that, "Feliz Navidad"?)

Debbie Schlussel: December 19, 2006 printer friendly

What is it with "American" retailers and t-shirts? First, we documented Wal-Mart's Nazi Death's Head Battalion skull t-shirts (which Wal-Mart is still selling, over a month later).

Now, SEARS is selling "AZTLAN PRIDE" t-shirts. Reader Mary sent us the tip and writes this:

I was shopping for my young cousins on Sears.com. They are wonderful young men who always want T-shirts for Christmas. So I was looking online this afternoon and look what I found.

Apparently Sears supports the reconquista movement. I called and cancelled our Sears charge account that we have had for 15 years.

AztlantshirtsearsAztlan

Sears Aztlan Pride T-Shirts for Christmas?

Apparently, someone needs to remind Sears chief investor and honcho, Edward S. Lampert, that there is no Aztlan . . . for now, and that this is still the United States of America.

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, both already under siege for other matters, are now being accused of failing to prosecute officers of the Texas Youth Commission after a Texas Ranger investigation documented that guards and administrators were sexually abusing the institution's minor boy inmates.

Among the charges in the Texas Ranger report were that administrators would rouse boys from their sleep for the purpose of conducting all-night sex parties.

Ray Brookins, one of the officials named in the report, was a Texas prison guard before being hired at the youth commission school. As a prison guard, Brookins had a history of disciplinary and petty criminal records dating back 21 years. He retained his job despite charges of using pornography on the job, including viewing nude photos of men and women on state computers.

The Texas Youth Comission controversy traces back to a criminal investigation conducted in 2005 by Texas Ranger Brian Burzynski. The investigation revealed key employees at the West Texas State School in Pyote, Texas, were systematically abusing youth inmates in their custody.

Burzynski presented his findings to the attorney general in Texas, to the U.S. Attorney Sutton, and to the Department of Justice civil rights division. From all three, Burzynski received no interest in prosecuting the alleged sexual offenses.

Banning update: Plastic Grocery Bag Ban in San Fran, more proof of socialist insanity

This is one of the dumbest things I've heard from the leftist crowd, while ironically in the past weren't we told to NOT use paper bags since it harmed the “earthen tree folk” or something like that? What is the point Petroleum comes from the earth, we aren't going to dig up the landfills anytime soon, and its not hurting anyone. This just causes ALL of us to be indoctrinated into more “earthen worship”. The Earth's warming is NOT from man made sources! reference see: m4gw.com

Biodegradable story From the AP SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - City leaders approved a ban on plastic grocery bags after weeks of lobbying on both sides from environmentalists and a supermarket trade group. If Mayor Gavin Newsom signs the ban as expected, San Francisco would be the first U.S. city to adopt such a rule.

The law, passed by a 10-1 vote, requires large markets and drug stores to give customers only a choice among bags made of paper that can be recycled, plastic that breaks down easily enough to be made into compost, or reusable cloth

Melamine in Chicken & Hogs in several states, perhaps in your Granola ?

Here's some information on the lapdog
of the pharmaceutical industry:
The F.D.A.
The FDA got into the picture only AFTER Melamine turned up in our USA food supply and only AFTER thousands of pets died from the contaminated pet food. imagine that. I predicted ti would hit our food supply

Remember when I wanted US to SUPPORT the C.O.O.L. or Country of Origin Labeling and everyone laughed or pooh poohed me on this, gee it wasn't such a bad idea now was it!

I certainly wouldn't want to eat this, and I certainly WANT TO KNOW WHERE MY FOOD COMES FROM!

Allow me to push again for the Country of Origin Labeling

Illegal Alien rally starts out strong then Fizzles as dozens March to the park

To borrow the presses lingo from the tax rally, dozens and dozens of men, women, & children bumbled their way  from Nicollet Ave at Lake st. to powderhorn park while they chanted"Bush & Cheney" got to go, "si se puede (yes we can)". Nevermind they have been their biggest ally in there putsch for amnesty, it shows how rediculous this whole thing is to begin with.  It was made up of what appeared to be about 1/2 union & American sympathsizers. The Fists not Crosses were in the air, with Che Guevara, Mexican & other non Us Flags were shown, along with the token American ones. Signs including "you can't deport us all"  & other hand written logos, paper mache suns and hands, and a PACE flag? What is that  "picante sauce"? I don't know.  THe Jewish action committee, Unite, and other Unions were represented, perhaps they can explain their interest in this. I saw 4, 9 ,11 but not ch 5. Ch 9 gave the segment I'd say about many times as long as our rally got which was 30 seconds for approx. 7,000 people. Now what was interesting was all seemed to show up at their rally including woman & childrenwere represented at their rally where mostly 1 or at most 2 generally speaking were at the tax rally  of course like the "step it up rally" i didn't see windmills or solar power just noisy, dirty generators. see the marching video on You tube video see more below

Election 2008: Minuteman Founder Jim Gilchrist Considers Presidential Run With Constitution Party

From the Constitution party HQ: Founder of Minutemen targets run for president  Jim Gilchrist eyes bid with Constitution Party, claims Republicans 'sold out our sovereignty'

April 30, 2006  By Jerome R. Corsi © 2006 WorldNetDaily.com

Jim Gilchrist, founder of the Minuteman Project, is considering a run for president in 2008 representing the Constitution Party.

Gilchrist has just returned from Florida where he met with the party's national committee.

Chairman James Clymer told WorldNetDaily the party was excited about the possibility of Gilchrist as its marquis candidate.

"Yes, indeed, we are interested," Clymer said. "Gilchrist spoke to us last weekend in Tampa and our people asked Jim then if he would be the candidate. We think it would be wonderful if Jim Gilchrist would seriously consider being our presidential candidate."

Gilchrist told WND the only candidate he would support as the Republican Party presidential nominee in 2008 was Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo.

"If John McCain enters the race for president," Gilchrist said. "I will definitely run. John McCain should have forfeited his right to run for president on the Republican Party the moment he put his name on immigration legislation with Sen. Ted Kennedy."

The director of North America's SuperCorridor Coalition has gone to war against an Oklahoma state legislator, trying to distance the tri-national group from any identification with a new "NAFTA Superhighway" or any movement to evolve NAFTA into a North American Union.
The conflict began when Republican Oklahoma state Sen. Randy Brogdon entered an amendment to an Oklahoma bill (HB 1819) requiring the state's Department of Transportation "shall be prohibited from participating or entering any negotiations or agreement with NASCO."
Brogdon's amendment further specified, "No state funds or federal funds dedicated for state use, shall be used for any international, integrated, or multi-modal transportation system."
Brogdon also has sponsored Senate Concurrent Resolution 10, an Oklahoma legislature resolution urging the U.S. to withdraw from the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America and any other activity that seeks to create a North American Union, and to oppose any NAFTA superhighways.  Senate Concurrent Resolution 10 has passed the Oklahoma Senate and is now before the Oklahoma House.

Industry sources tell WND that NASCO Executive Director Tiffany Melvin is traveling to Oklahoma to argue her case directly with Oklahoma legislators, opposing both Brogdon-introduced measures.

Rudy Giuliani tied to 'superhighways' Law firm represents consortia funding NAFTA-related routes

wnd.com  Posted: May 15, 2007 1:00 a.m. Eastern By Jerome R. Corsi © 2007 WorldNetDaily.com

Rgiuliani Rudy Giuliani Conf Graphic  NASCO Questions are being raised over Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani's policy on terrorism, after a report revealed he has strong ties to two foreign investment consortia working to own or lease U.S. toll roads, including the Trans-Texas Corridor 35, which is identified as part of the I-35 “NAFTA Superhighway.”

Although he opposed NAFTA in 1993, Giuliani recently declined to call for building a fence on the United States border with Mexico, and he has supported a guest-worker program.

Columnist Michelle Malkin also has documented that while mayor of New York City, Giuliani kept the municipality a sanctuary city for illegal aliens, adhering to a policy first established by Mayor Ed Koch in 1989.

Now comes a new report about Giuliani's involvement with public-private-partnership projects that include NAFTA Superhighway funding and his open borders record on immigration questions, all of which could undermine his otherwise tough policy on terrorism that has resulted from the 9/11 role Giuliani played in managing New York City's response to the attacks on the World Trade Center.

Demintpic3  May 17th, 2007 - Washington, D.C.  - Today, U.S. Senator DeMint made the following statement:

"I hope we don't take a thousand page bill written in secret and try to ram it through the Senate in a few days. This is
a very important issue for America and we need time to debate it."

"But the little we do know about the bill is troubling. According to reports, the bill contains a new 'Z Visa' that
allows those who entered our country illegally to stay here permanently without ever returning home. This rewards people
who broke the law with permanent legal status, and puts them ahead of millions of law-abiding immigrants waiting to come to America. I don't care how you try to spin it, this is amnesty."

Senator DeMint is chairman of the Senate Steering Committee, a caucus of conservative senators that includes the majority of the Republican Conference.
